Shogun - Execution Style 12”

Hailing from Knoxville with a breadth of HC experience amongst its members Shogun is a band that came into being fully formed and this EP is evidence of that. We are not necessarily wanting at the current moment for metallic influenced hardcore we arguably have it in spades and though musically Shogun does an excellent job playing this style of aggressive music, the breakdown in “Cut Off” is evidence of this, something that is evident with these songs are the thought put into the lyrical themes. The classic sentiments are there for purists but there is a depth to some of these songs lost at times when the point of playing this kind of music is mainly to get kids to beat the crap out of each other.
